'Día del Pueblo' brought 130+ services to SM 93; next stop is August 20 at City Hall

The traveling event offers civil registry copies, property tax, cadastre, health services and aid; here's how to make the most of the next edition.

CANCÚN, Q. ROO. — The traveling "Día del Pueblo" (Day of the People) event set up more than 130 free procedures and services at Parque San Antonio in Supermanzana 93, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., bringing municipal, state and federal services closer to families on the city's east side.

Available services included certified copies from the Civil Registry, property tax regularization, change of ownership before the Municipal Cadastre and disability certificates. The health area offered medical, nutritional and psychological guidance, vaccinations, veterinary consultations and deworming, along with services such as free haircuts.

This edition — the 25th of 2026 and the 54th since October 2024 — handled citizen hearings and distributed mobility aids such as wheelchairs, walkers and canes. Overall, the program has now benefited more than 82,000 people since it began.

What's next. The next "Día del Pueblo" edition will take place on Thursday, August 20, at City Hall (Palacio Municipal), so families who missed their procedure at SM 93 can go there.

Practical guide. To make the most of the event, arrive early, as the Civil Registry and property tax booths tend to draw the longest lines. Bring valid official ID (INE), your CURP and, if you're regularizing property tax or a change of ownership, the property documents (deeds or your latest tax receipt). A disability certificate generally requires a clinical summary. Mobility aids are usually handed out by registration order and availability, so asking at the social assistance booth on arrival helps speed things up. These events let you resolve in a single place matters that would normally require visiting several municipal and state offices separately.
