Free birth certificates, vaccines and doctor visits: 'Día del Pueblo' returns to Cancun City Hall on August 6
Benito Juarez City Hall will bring more than 30 free services and paperwork options to the Palacio Municipal on Thursday August 6, after visiting 27 Cancun neighborhoods this year.
Cancun, Quintana Roo. Benito Juarez City Hall confirmed the next edition of the traveling program "Día del Pueblo, Cancún nos Une por la Transformación" will take place on Thursday August 6 at Palacio Municipal from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The weekly program alternates between city supermanzanas and the main city hall building. According to the municipal administration, its goal is to cut down travel expenses for families and bring services closer to neighborhoods far from downtown.
What you can get done. Each edition gathers roughly 35 municipal, state and federal agencies as well as allied civic groups. Services on offer include:
- One-on-one hearings with municipal departments.
- Issuance of birth certificates.
- Delivery of assistive devices such as wheelchairs.
- Vaccinations for infants, children and adults.
- Free general medical consultations.
- Deworming treatments and veterinary biologics for pets.
- Free haircuts.
Who benefits most. The setup was designed for people who struggle to reach the main offices, including older adults, mothers with small children, people with disabilities and families living on the outskirts. So far in 2026 the program has visited 27 neighborhoods.
How to prepare. To speed up the process bring a government-issued ID (INE), CURP number and, for birth certificates from other states, any information from the original registry you may have. Assistive devices are usually granted on a first-come basis and after a social-work assessment.
Palacio Municipal sits on Tulum Avenue in Supermanzana 5. Admission is free and open to the public. Arriving early is recommended because vaccination and medical consultation slots run out quickly.
Other options. When there is no active edition, Civil Registry paperwork can be done at the regular City Hall offices; primary medical consultations are available at the State Health Secretariat clinics and at the IMSS Bienestar facilities assigned to your address.
