Road patching and cleanup in Cancún's SM 249: how to report trash in your area
The city and residents cleaned Girasoles Park and filled potholes; here's the number to report bulky waste.
The Benito Juárez city government, through its Public Services Department and in coordination with residents, carried out cleanup, bulky-waste removal and road patching in Cancún's Supermanzana 249, according to the city.
The work, on July 8, focused on Girasoles Park in the Villas del Mar Plus subdivision, where a 24-worker crew removed yard waste, junk and bulky items —furniture, tires, plastics, cardboard and electronics— and applied cold-mix patching on nearby roads. SIRESOL also took part.
The city asked residents to separate yard waste in closed bags, apart from household trash, and to care for the park. To report trash on public roads or accumulated bulky waste, the city offers the Unidades Verdes WhatsApp line (998 353 2990) and the ChatCun line (998 778 4500).
